Ken Kiff Reception

April 6 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

The Young Gallery would like to invite you to a reception to celebrate:

Ken Kiff, RA (1935-2001)
prints, drawings, paintings

Paintings, prints and drawings from the Kiff estate held by Marlborough Fine Art, London.

Friday 6th April 6 – 8pm

Refreshments will be served.

Colour and colour relationships interacted in Kiff’s paintings with a range of images evoking the blissfully radiant and lyrical to the comic and disturbingly grotesque: ‘fantasy was a way of thinking about reality’ was Kiff’s summary.
In 1991 Ken Kiff was elected to the Royal Academy and became the second of the National Gallery’s invited ‘Associate Artists’ after Paula Rego and was succeeded by Peter Blake. An internationally known figurative artist, Ken Kiff was born in Dagenham and trained at Hornsey School of Art (1955-61), bursting to prominence in the 1980’s.

The exhibition runs from March 30th – May 25th 2018

I look forward to welcoming you to the exhibition.
